Lux-Liner LLC started in Arcadia, California in May 2014. The purpose was to offer a better product and service in the RV rental industry. This home-grown family start-up grew into a 10,000 square foot facility and achieved 5 star rating on Yelp. It came with a lot of hard work and lessons to learn, as it relates to quality issues in the RV industry and providing a premium service.
In October 2019, the team started to support RKS Off-Road, a premium off-road trailer company. With the knowledge of the RV industry, and the teams background in EV automotive, aerospace and different types of manufacturing, the company adjusted its portfolio. Now, we support RV/trailer upgrades to make these off-road capable as well as support different companies with our expertise on a consulting basis.

The RKS Off-Road Motive prototype runs off solar only. Complete Victron system with 400Ah lithium batteries, 400w of solar (not Victron) on a 30A controller, and a 1,600w inverter/charger. The trailer is also running a 12v 12,000btu A/C system. The trailer was taken into 98F desert for a hot weather test for 24 hours without a generator. This was a baseline test, without any added insulation so the test would stress the system. After 24 hours of testing, ended at 5pm, the unit still had 20% remaining on the battery. It was determined that with double the storage and solar, that the unit could operate in the desert indefinitely provided there is adequate sunlight.
